How to Shop for a Hot Tub

Making the choice to purchase a new hot tub is a big decision. Just like buying a new car, hot tubs come in many different shapes, sizes, colors, and offer a large variety of features. Below, we are going to discuss what you should look for, and things to consider when you are shopping for your new hot tub.

First, it is important to factor in the size of the hot tub you want. If you are putting the tub in a restricted space, gather those dimensions so you can be aware of exactly what you can have. For example, if you have 85 inches of available space, you do not want to walk into the store and fall in love with a hot tub that is 91 inches in size.

Next, consider a price range you are comfortable with. Hot tubs come in all shapes and sizes, which means they come in a large price range too. If you know what you are willing to pay, this can help the Spa Professional help you find the perfect spa, and show you options that fit your comfortable criteria. (Angie's Pool and Spa offers more information on financing if that is the path you are wanting to take as well.)

Then, consider what features you want. Some examples of hot tub features would be: cover type, inner and outer shell colors, number of jets, lounger or no lounger, bluetooth speaker, touch screen display control, and built-in steps/towel warmer.

Also, consider the service/store that you are purchasing from. Is the associate able to answer all the questions that you have? What is the warranty on the hot tub? At Angie’s, we have certified service technicians that work on hot tubs if any issues or warranty work were needed on your spa. If you purchase a new hot tub with us, we are your direct contact to the manufacturer. For example, if one of your jets needed to be replaced, you would contact us, and we would go directly to the manufacturer for you, this makes it a lot easier on your end. We would get the problem solved in a timely and efficient manner.

Finally, make sure that you are comfortable with your purchase. When you are at the store, make sure you sit in the different seats in the hot tub. Ensure the hot tub has all the features you want, and ask as many questions as you can. Angie’s Pool and Spa also offers FREE operating instructions from one of our certified service technicians if you purchase a hot tub with us. This means that once your hot tub is up and running, we will come to your house to teach you how to use your new spa and answer any and all remaining questions you may have.

We hope that you are able to stop in to Angie’s Pool and Spa soon and take a look at our large in store inventory of hot tubs, a new spa could be in your future!
